"I'm not going anywhere," McCarthy told reporters Tuesday morning following a contentious private meeting with the GOP Conference.
After three rounds of voting today McCarthy garnered only 203 votes in rounds one and two, then dropped to 202 in the final round. To garner the gavel a candidate needs 218.
Me? I'm relieved to see him where he's at. It's time to be led and guided by true conservatives for a change. The swamp is self identifying, and hopefully in two years voters will correct their mistakes.

A very good Facebook friend of mine here on this platform posted a meme that read as follows:
"Education has been revised. No chemistry, algebra, cursive writing cuz it's too hard. Learn the letter D to vote."
And of course all those things are right on the mark. But while I was sitting on the edge of the bed lacing up my boots in the dark (always a challenge) it occurred to me that maybe the most important thing was left out. I'm not faulting her. This platform doesn't give users enough characters to work with in their meme maker.
What was missing in between all those truths she posted was that schools have abandoned teaching history. Tough they may claim to teach something called "history" it's mostly just the 'Fractured Flickers' (remember that show?) of history as dictated by the wanna-be dictators.
But history may well be the most important part of what students should be taught. It has so many lessons to deliver. First it teaches students of the battles of good versus evil. It teaches kids the important things to maintain a civilized world, why the United States was the greatest nation ever created. (Using the past tense was purely intentional.)
From a more practical standpoint it teaches us what worked and what didn't. But the educators have also removed the entire notion of "critical thinking" by children who will be the future cadre of our nation's "leaders". History also it points out which of the historical figures were the frauds, the cheats, the future dictators. And it demonstrates the real life consequences of what takes place when dictators rule. We're talking the very long term here, pre-dating even the birth of Jesus Christ, ancient Egypt is but one example.
What so-called "teachers" impart to their students today is nothing more than liberal propaganda drilled into their impressionable brains by this era's wanna-be dictators.
That part of is more than bad enough on it's own, but it now goes far past that. While students are subjected to lies, drag queen classroom party, blatant lies about historical facts. In the end they "graduate" with no skills, no vision, no ethics and no notion of critical thinking. Not one single thing that serves as a warning light and nothing about what was proven to work in the past.
This nation of ours is teetering on the brink. Forget the whole idea of the 'slippery slope'. We are standing on the edge of a crumbling cliff.

Four days ago I wrote a piece I called "The Mutiny Is On". Thanks to the powers that be in these parts it was largely left out of the news feed. But then, there was this from a generally conservative news outlet the DC Enquirer, quoting the from the ever loony left network of CNBC who's opening salvo reads:

None of this news should come as any surprise to anyone but Joe Biden himself, living in his own little imaginary world and all.
Strategically speaking, it's a good strategy for the Dems. The NoMoJoe movement is best done very early on. But remember, it had to come after the recent midterms or it would have dragged down any candidate with a "D" preceding their name on a ballot.
It also has to come very early in this window of opportunity that is less than two years from now since the midterm's ballots have been cast. There's two reasons for that. First they need to select a candidate. When I say "they" I'm referring to the people who actually run the party, the big bucks donors. The second being that they need to get the mutiny behind early enough to make it a faded memory as we grow closer to 2024. Why? Because the one commonality here is that, underneath all the hoopla and theatrics, it's the same ventriloquists (absent Sam Bankman-Fried who's kind of tied up for many moments to come) that selected Joe who will be picking their next talking dummy with all strings attached.
So there you have it. The realm of big league politics and how the game (and voters) gets played.
As for me, I'll stick with a candidate who beets his own drum drum for himself.

The case in point today comes from something called "Insider", an email news letter I never subscribed to nor ever heard of ending up in my email every day. Here's what they wrote:

Back in another era, a simpler, saner era, if you didn't like your job you looked for a new one. But in our new modern woke world era we, as I, more than once, referred to this behavior as "the inmates running the asylum". Beyond that, what does this say about who this woman worked for? He or she must have been totally detached from what was going on (if anything) right there under their nose.
In another era that was "results oriented" my saying in a situation such as this was "Either you or your replacement will get the job done."
It's little wonder that so many jobs have been outsourced to other countries who focus on getting the task at hand done. Businesses are in business first and foremost to make money. If they don't do that, they fail.
I guess this is what to expect in a world where everyone has had it hammered into their heads that they are "special".

I just finished reading a story on the Lead Patriot site. It's a site I've never heard of before but a friend posted a link. What was refreshing is that they posted verbatim statements from the big three network anchors that were highly critical. Their ire was that Joe Biden traded away a war criminal, commonly known as the "Merchant of Death" to gain the freedom for someone undeserving of it, Brittney Griner. These news anchors were incensed by Biden's actions in no uncertain terms. And expressing such open anger against a Dem president is not something I can recall in decades of following the news.
But what's the backstory here?
Right now we're stuck with the worst, most inept. person for a president than has ever happened. He shakes hands with people who aren't anywhere near him, he can't even read from a teleprompter without screwing that up. And he's far too touchy, feely with women and small children (either sex). A gnat has more cognitive awareness. Or maybe the ever present ice cream cone in his hand has given him permanent brain freeze. His cognitive abilities, never in his life his strong suit, have gone AWOL. Who knows? Who cares? The point is, it's real.
This 180 by the press is more than telling. Biden has become a 'dead candidate walking'. This wasn't a case of network toadies at work. No this had to be a case of network toadies who are taking their marching orders from the Democratic Party and their big mega-doners who really run the party.
My take is this. The mid-terms are behind us as is the danger of sinking the entire party in that vote. And now it's time to rid the party of the boat anchor that would drown them all in 2024. This was firing the opening salvo against the man they still had on a pedestal through all his flubs, inappropriate and un-presidential words and deeds. And, like all things political, especially on the left side of the aisle, they will work to a plan to have him dismissed from the candidate list while trying to give it the appearance of Biden making the decision for, and by, himself.
Like they say... Now it gets interesting.

Here's a novel idea... Lets drill for our own oil, tap what's in of our strategic our reserve, instead of Biden selling it to other countries, if we need to cover any shortages until we can ramp production up.
It's really quite simple, we are financing the Russian's attempted take over a sovereign country. It's time to end the insanity. And the Ukrainian people would, should, and will be loyal allies of the United States for many decades, at the very least, to come. Who knows, they might just end up joining NATO to help keep that megalomaniac in his place until his cancer takes him out for eternity.
And don't overlook that oil industry workers would be back to work, more individual taxes would flow into the US Treasury, we would borrow less from China and stop them from profiting on the interest income our treasury bills provide them. (The real truth is we never actually pay them off. We just issue more when the old ones become due and payable. It's akin to digging the hole deeper to get out of the hole.)
Life gets so much simpler when you apply a little common sense.
